Hi Abstract, you may remember from ilp. Where is Huntsville? I thought you lived in Samsara until I realized that Samsare was more of a state of being than a place.

Hi Abstract,

Being that this forum is primarily for residents of Huntsville, I wonder what the number of people in that city are interested in philosophy. It seems to me that the purpose must be to eventually have in-person discussions with local people. Assuming that this forum may end up being more of a general forum for people anywhere, then I wonder what the purpose of it may be. ILP is descent forum, but I understand the use of what one could call neighboring forums. Certainly the type of discussion can end up different here, perhaps it can even obtain a different atmosphere. I don't have any specific suggestions at the moment, but I'm willing to take part in the discussion on how this forum could progress if your interested on experimenting with it's format. By format I mean not only questions of ratings sytems which you've already asked but also features such as subforums and soforth. Anyway, maybe I'm just thinking out loud, but I've never been a member of such a new forum.

I'd appreciate any help... I contacted the philosophy club at my local college and the local free thought society... the philosophy club is out for finals though so I suspect it will be time before I can get many from there in here.
